Za'atar Flatbread (GF, Vegan)

Full discloser: I used Simple Mills Artisan bread recipe for this, but I'm adding it the recipe list because it's clean, it's easy, it's damn good, and honestly there is not shame in using a boxed recipe. Simple Mills is one of my favorite clean, gluten free brands!

If you eat eggs, you can follow the recipe as directed on the box exactly, and add the extra in the recipe below

 

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 box Simple Mills Artisan Bread Recipe Box

- 1/4 cup aquafaba (juice from chickpea can)

- 2tbs water

- 2 tbs apple cider vinegar

- 4tbs plus 2tbs olive oil

- 2-3 tbs Za'atar seasoning

(The extra oil and the Za'atar are not on the box.)

 

Make flatbreads as directed according to the box. If you have your own flatbread recipe use that.

Using your fingers made a few small divots in the flat bread, spread Za'atar evenly across the top and pour the olive oil on top!

Next time I'm going to cut up some Kalamata olives and place them throughout before baking the flatbreads!

 

Serve with hummus or your favorite dips.
