Pizzzzkullls

Okay so the name doesn't really work, and they are totally NOT GF, though you can make them vegan or DF. Real talk, I did not eat these, but I made them for my family and they LOVED them. 

You will need THIS pan to make the skull pizza roll shapes. You can also use the pan for meatloaf, small cakes, and other skull shaped fun!

 

Pizza Crust: 

-1 cup warm water

-2 1/4 tsp yeast

-1/4 tsp salt

- 3 cups flour

- 2 tbs olive oil

 

Pizza Sauce:

- 2 small cans tomato sauce

- 3tbs tomato paste

- 2tsp oregano

- 2 tsp parsley

- 2 tsp garlic powder

- salt and pepper to taste

 

-Your favorite Pizza Toppings (cut into mini size)

-Vegan or regular shredded cheese

 

Using a stand mixer with dough attachment, mix yeast and water and let sit for 10 minutes. Add flour, salt, and olive oil and mix until dough pulls from sides. Form dough into ball. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. 

 

While dough is rising, preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to simmer. 

 

Once dough has finished rising, roll out small circles to place into skull pan so that there is enough dough for the shape as well as to close at the top. Fill each skull with toppings, cheese, two scoops of sauce and then toppings and cheese again!

 

Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with any leftover sauce.
