Make the Courageous Choice to Settle

Make the Courageous Choice to Settle

Hi, news flash, settling isn’t actually bad. You actually HAVE to end up “settling” on something. The phrase “that settles it,” means you’ve made a choice because you have enough information to do so.

I’m not asking you to settle for greatness only or settle on a toxic relationship here, what I am saying is at some point you settled on wearing that shirt today, you settled on the car you bought, you settled on your college major, you settled on the best route to take to work, and you settled on the fact that you do love Taco Tuesdays.

It’s impossible not to settle.

It’s easy to settle. It’s easy to keep doing the same thing. It’s easy to keep settling on the easy way. It takes courage to settle on doing the work.

What if today you decided to settle on speaking up to that coworker that makes inappropriate comments? What if today you decided to settle on giving yourself grace since you’ve had a hard week? What if today you decided to settle on curiosity instead of judgment of a friend?

Where can you settle in on a new courageous choice in your life that makes you do a little work?

It’s time to settle on courage no matter how big or small.
